‘I baked the “loaves”
blind to the irony, that my gratitude for “crumbs”
were just my own leftovers,
You required so many loaves,
that I dug into my reserves;
Ignoring my body’s pleas, excusing my hunger with your
‘unaware’ excuse.
Martyrdom…I own my choice.

So when loaves become slices,
my slices become crumbs,
you hoarded,
and I starved…literally…

while you continued to play victim.
